This painting "The Flag " was done as a result of my frustrations of events and atrocities against POC in this country in 2016. I added this poem by, Langston Hughes, 20th Century African American writer, wrote "Warning" in the early 1940's. It was first published in 1949, and again in his posthumously 1967 collection "The Panther and the Lash: Poems of Our Times". After the events of August 5, 2023 in Mobile, Alabama, I thought I'd share it with you all...This t-shirt is everything you've dreamed of and more. It feels soft and lightweight, with the right amount of stretch. It's comfortable and flattering for all.
